Morgan Smith

Graduate of Columbia College at Columbia University as well as Mannes College of Music in New York City, Morgan became a Seattle Opera young artist (1999-2000) then in 2001 made his debut on stage with the company as Donald on stage in Billy Budd. Smith is a Seattle popular and has performed roles in twelve other productions, including Don Giovanni, Silvio in I Pagliacci (title role), Riccardo I Puritani, Peter Niles Mourning Becomes Electra, as well as the role of Count Alamaviva and Count Alamaviva in Le nozze di Figaro. Smith is a regular performer on concert stages. Smith was the first to make the Dallas Symphony debut in Bach's St. Matthew Passion and additionally performed with The San Antonio Symphony at the North American premiere for Detlef Glanert's orchestral adaptation of Brahms famous cycle Vier Praludien Und Ernste Gesange. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, the Requiems by Brahms and Faure as well as Mozart and the two Masses composed in C Minor and G Minor composed by Vaughan Williams, Bach's B Minor Mass and numerous Cantatas; The Handel's Messiah, L'Allegro il Penseroso and il Moderato. Haydn's The Creation, Lord Nelson Mass and Haydn's The Creation are also included in the repertoire for concerts. Morgan Morgan Morgan
