Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist competing in the flyweight division in the UFC. She is the elder sister of her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start combat sports in the form of an Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. In 2012, she took home her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina's final fight took place at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won via unanimous verdict. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut was in 2002, at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She was victorious with a TKO at the end of round two and her subsequent 2 matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was absent from MMA in order to concentrate on the sport of kickboxing. She made her return with a win against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui by the unanimous verdict. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by the same decision. She left the club and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina demonstrated her power of striking by tying Nievera using knees. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous victory, however she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi in an undisputed split decision. Antonina bounced back from losing to defeat Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night in this fight. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights but then lost her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
